Why didn’t this come up in 6 FBI investigations of Kavanaugh? B/c these women, like many others who experienced similar things, remained silent. Why are they speaking now? Because it’s a nomination for SCOTUS. Because it’s 2018. Because women are no longer ashamed or afraid.

The world is packed full of men who think they can steamroll the concerns of women with their deeper, louder voices and appeals for himpathy. They cry out that they will have their day, but every day has been their day since the dawn of time. No longer.

Thank you Mary McLean, MD for this #FIX19 talk on bias against & marginalization of physicians with obesity. Higher weight correlates with lower income. Many physicians report being less likely to collaborate with overweight physicians.
