Inspired by Zoé Ziani, Ph.D. 's excellent post, I decided to check some of our journals policies on how they handle whistleblower complaints about potential fraud. It wasn't pretty. Policies are either non-existent or really hard to find. (I didn't spend more than 15 mins per journal).

I'm on strike today! 🪧📢 Demanding better working conditions for faculty, staff, and students. We don't have scheduled salary increases to meet inflation, yet COL has increased 29% in the LA area since I joined in 2016. #organizedlabor #CFAFacultyRising #DoBetterCSU

In an odd twist of events, y'all know how the end of semester goes (lots of requests for additional work to raise grades, etc.), I have had surprisingly low extra credit take up - in one class, nobody! This is even after written and spoken reminders. Interesting.

I am FINALLY going to learn R. Putting it out there. Secondary but also necessary for the first to work: I am on sabbatical. Phew!
