The Corbyn/Sultana party will turn out to be an unmitigated disaster - riddled by splits, sectarianism and weirdness. The only issue they will be able to unite around is a hatred for Israel. Wait and see.

Almost a relief to come off the phone to someone who agrees. Despite the increasingly radicalised voices of the pro Israel and pro Palestine camps, the UK government’s stance on the region and its deadly conflict has fundamentally been the correct one.

Mr Corbyn denied that the launch had been “messy”. Asked why it was him alone doing broadcast media to launch the party, and also asked where Ms Sultana was, he said: “We’re working absolutely together on this. “She happens to be, as far as I know at this moment, in Coventry."

Pretty foul & tropey “The Telegraph reports Lord Hermer has ‘been accused of asserting the primacy of human rights law over British government and politics’. Is he then a latter-day Diogenes (4th century bc), who saw himself as a ‘cosmopolitan’, i.e. a citizen of no one place”

As I mentioned the other week Sultana likely to stand as an independent in Birmingham. Either here or in Birmingham Ladywood. Would lose if she stood as indie candidate in current Coventry seat
