Connor Capece of Creighton Baseball will make his second straight start at catcher for the Y-D Red Sox tonight vs. Brewster. In 50 games at Creighton last season, he slashed .349/.420/.477 good for a 116 OPS+ in the Big East. Should be nice addition to this Y-D lineup.

The first relevant pitching trade of deadline season was completed on Thursday, with the Orioles sending Bryan Baker to the Rays for the 37th overall pick. Baker is amidst arguably his best season, aided by a high-grading four-seamer and changeup per Execution+.
