This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. If your student has been influenced by a teacher who encouraged them, motivated them to be more, do more, told them they can do it when they were certain they couldn't, take the time this week to express your thanks.

The Lowell Esports teams concluded virtual competition in the Michigan High School Esports Federation spring league. The Lowell Red Fortnite team of Landon Burgess and Mason Wilterink, upset two of the best teams in the state to take 1st in the state playoffs!

This afternoon the Kent County Health Department released a statement regarding quarantine requirements for schools. Should there be any changes to our current quarantine procedures, they will be announced in the coming days and weeks based on public health recommendations.

We are bringing back the band to close out the academic year! Thanks to changes in contact tracing rules/guidelines and declining positivity rates, LHS is able to return to in-person learning effective, Tuesday, May 18. Please see your e-mail from Principal Gough for more info!

New chapters! Alto Elementary 5th Graders are taking a peep at their new digs for the next 3 years. Thanks to relaxed restrictions, this year's LAS 5th grade class is able to tour the building and get a feel for how things work.

Congratulations to the LHS Varsity Clay Target Team. They are the 2021 State Champions in Sporting Clays and placed 3rd in the state for skeet.
