Finally met Lav Varshney in person -- a pioneer in making computers creative. 🤖🎨 E.g. his 2013 paper (arxiv.org/abs/1311.1213) mathematically formalized & optimized computational creativity. I was stunned that this can even be done - and amazed by its potentials for science.
