Last week, UN Development delivered 6.9 tons of insulin to #Sudan, covering the country’s needs for the next 3–4 months. In #PortSudan, 30 journalists attended a training on conflict-sensitive reporting, misinformation & hate speech. Supported by United Nations Peacebuilding, parts of the training will also air on community radio, showing how media can be a force for peace, not division.

Supported by United Nations Peacebuilding & the Peace Commissioner, UN Development held a workshop to build women’s capacity to counter harmful narratives and promote healing & local peace.


Recovery in #Sudan goes beyond emergency aid; it focuses on maintaining essential systems. In Red Sea State, UN Development and Japan Embassy in Sudan / 在スーダン日本国大使館 are restoring local food systems through seed distribution, livestock support, fishing equipment and skills training for displaced women.


This #YouthDay, we celebrate #Sudan’s youth driving recovery in their communities. As thousands return to war-hit towns, investing in local economies is key.
