So let's take a look back at the Kenyan protest that begun last year June 25th. We commemorated the lost souls this year 2025, June 25th. It began with anger over rising taxes. But it became a fight for accountability, dignity and hope. #77NiNumbers

But what didn't make sense, was how the government and our leaders took part in all this. Goons were paid to disrupt the peaceful protest, mainstream media were stopped from airing the events of that day. All this instead of addressing the actual problem!

Bridget Wainaina was 12 & inside her house in Ndumberi, Kiambi County when a police bullet tore through the walls & ended her life. Bridget Wainaina wasn’t protesting, she should still be here laughing, learning and growing just like any other child her age. #StopPoliceBrutality

Kenneth Ouma wasn’t out protesting either. He was at the gym, like usual, lifting, sweating and minding his own business. A stray police bullet cut his life short in seconds. Another young Kenyan killed without reason, caught in violence he wasn’t part of. #StopPoliceBrutality

We cannot stay silent as innocent Kenyans, and children are killed by those meant to protect us. We call out police brutality and demand accountability for every life lost and every leader whose words or silence allowed this violence. #SabaSaba2025 #stoppolicebrutality

We swapped office walls for sea breeze and sand today, sitting with first-time ID applicants to hear about the wait, the stress and the many hoops they jump through to get their ID'S. #SiasayaID

Today we Had a great session with Médecins Sans FrontiÚres and people living with disabilities. We talked through sexual and reproductive health rights, different types of contraception, and how to spot and prevent STIs.

We also talked about sexual violence, what it means, where it happens, who’s most affected and the different forms it takes, giving solutions on how we can all play a part in prevention and support.

comrades share their thoughts on Ruto’s regime as elections draw near. One says the president has strayed from his promises they can’t tell what his real intentions are. Another calls out the cabinet, saying most of them are not qualified for the job unlike Uhuru’s picks.

We returned to Chaani ECD after reports that construction had picked up. But what we found tells a different story, the building is still incomplete, the surroundings still neglected. It’s been 11 years since this project began. Dr. Mbwarali Kame Mombasa County #CompleteChaaniECD

Some wiring has been done, lights are in place and they’ve put ceilings in two classrooms and part of the hallway. There’s even a water connection now. But the rest of the building is Still the same. How do you start wrapping up a structure that’s not even fully up?

With elections getting closer, we’re keeping the spotlight on the ID process. We can’t vote without IDs and many young people are still facing delays, mistreatment and silence from those in charge. #SiasaYaID Siasa Place

Correction** - Together with Siasa Place, we've actually been following this stalled project for more than 2 months now. And it's sad to see those young kids squeezed in an unfit classroom. #completechaaniecd Mombasa County Abdulswamad Sheriff Nassir
