Thrilled to announce the first annual Reinforcement Learning Conference RL_Conference, which will be held at UMass Amherst August 9-12! RLC is the first strongly peer-reviewed RL venue with proceedings, and our call for papers is now available: rl-conference.cc.

I hope Dwarkesh Patel is paying good bucks to whoever ended up being his YouTube shorts editor and decided to put that Ilya Sutskever clip about next token prediction. That interview is months old yet everyone in my feed is now talking about it.

Started reading Berserk manga recently. It's like Opeth's music turned into visual art. Trascendental beauty in the midst of horror. Fantastic.

Our new Science Robotics paper (in the cover!) describes how to do object shape & pose estimation during inhand manipulation with neural representations. Important step towards fully autonomous dexterity. Work led by Sudharshan Suresh who is an amazing researcher, make sure to follow.

Teleop is all the rage for scaling, but can we even do dexterous tasks like tool-use with today’s systems? We built DexGen foundation controller, it takes coarse motion prompts to refine them to fine, safe actions. DexGen+teleop now enables tasks like screwdriver use & many more

We consider teleoperation as a prompting problem, where the human action serves as a prompt to our foundation model, Dexterity Gen. Our model then generates the optimal action that ensures both stability and preservation of the human intent. Checkout our paper for more details.

Thrilled to share our recent advances in human teleoperation for dexterous manipulation, a level-up in robotic dexterity to previously unseen capabilities like using a syringe. This was work led by the amazing Zhao-Heng Yin. Check out his thread for more details.
