I like to experiment with my daily log/journal. In 2022 I included a little "vignette" for each day. In 2023 I instead included the top news story. Reviewing them now, the difference is striking: the vignettes grow more charming with age, while the news simply grows... old.

On a lark we had GPT Voice Mode watch a sitcom with us, and it would chime in and say stuff like "Oh, that's a classic line!" It got really annoying after about 2 minutes, but it gave me pause nonetheless. Soon it may not be uncommon for lonely people to consoom "with" AI.

One more reorg and everything will be fixed. Just one more.

GPT 5 fares even worse on this question. I tried a few times, and it answered “Joffrey Baratheon,” “Baby Jesus,” “Trump” (non-Thinking), and Drake again, even though the CoT showed skepticism of the source.
