This work shows that astroglial gap junctions strengthen hippocampal network activity by sustaining afterhyperpolarization via KCNQ channels: Cell Reports cell.com/cell-reports/f…. This astroglial regulation promotes in vivo delta-theta oscillatory physiological activity.
