It's not too late for the province to change direction on this. We have gathered the necessary information - It's costly and a waste of $75M, the lanes are well used, and they save lives.

Mid-rise are some of the more challenging projects to advance for a number of reasons, yet there is also criticism when clusters of tall buildings are proposed. We need to make mid-rise easier and this report is a good blueprint. Best practices have, and should, evolve over time

An admission of the significant financial and safety costs. The city regularly looks at alternative routes and puts lanes on side streets. Shaw (instead of Ossington), Palmerston (Bathurst), Brunswick (Spadina). Yonge, University and Bloor don't have equivalent options.
