My deep learning course UNIGE_en is available on-line. 1000+ slides, ~20h of screen-casts. Full of examples in PyTorch. fleuret.org/dlc/ And my "Little Book of Deep Learning" is available as a phone-formatted pdf (400k downloads!) fleuret.org/lbdl/

Lazytwitter: can you reply with you favorite Diffusion tutorial for PhDs and a number between 1-10 of its complexity? (1 - it makes images good 10- it's just non-equilibrium thermodynamics)

Here’s a cool post from Nick McDonald about writing a high performance chunked voxel rendering engine. Two things I love about the post: first, the writeup is really good and goes deep into technicals, and second, the design of the blog is really cool. nickmcd.me/2021/04/04/hig…

The video for our SIGGRAPH 2023 course "A Gentle Introduction to ReSTIR" is now available on the ACM Digital Library. It's freely available, without subscribing to the DL, by navigating through this specific link (our course is first): siggraph.org/wp-content/upl…

The intersection of a plane and an ellipsoid is a (3D) ellipse. The perspective projection of this ellipse is a (2D) ellipse. Question: what’s an expression for the quadratic form characterizing the projected ellipse? Conceptually “easy”; hard to find actual explicit formulas.

Well, how about that, Yarnspin 2.0 was just released! You'd do well to check it out :) Yarnspin is a great little engine for telling stories in a "choose-your-own-adventure" style, and it is made to be easy to use for non-programmers too. mattiasgustavsson.itch.io/yarnspin

A really great material resource is physicallybased.info it's a huge database of material values that target a wide variety of engine platforms. Like Unity, Unreal, Godot, Blender, Substance Painter and Marmoset. Which is just perfect for texturing. #gamedev #gameart

Introducing MASt3R-SLAM, the first real-time monocular dense SLAM with MASt3R as a foundation. Easy to use like DUSt3R/MASt3R, from an uncalibrated RGB video it recovers accurate, globally consistent poses & a dense map. With Eric Dexheimer*, Andrew Davison (*Equal Contribution)
