Listening to the Voices of Wisdom: A Young Leader’s Journey worshipleader.com/leadership/lis… via Worship Leader

The Book of Common Prayer is majestic, and I really want to like The Prayer Book Society but it is toxic. Its leaders support discrimination against LGBT people, now this in its latest magazine: “I was greeted by a witchlike female in clerical garb.” MartineOborne Women and the Church

Something I learned as a student at Selwyn College Cambridge: the head of college (Master/Principal/Provost) can transform Christmas for students who are alone over the vacation. When I was a college Principal myself, it was one of the most joyful moments to offer hospitality!

So good to catch up with Bishop of Newcastle 🖤🤍🖤🤍🙏 today, and to hear her sermon in St Paul's Cathedral, which was by turns funny, poignant, and very wise.

Had a great morning preaching at St Paul's Cathedral, and meeting old friends and new. Tomorrow I head up to Durham University where I shall address the Café des Theologiennes, at St Chad's College. If you’re in Durham late afternoon tomorrow, come and join!

I heard a few Ash Wednesday sermons yesterday. This was far and away the best. We are imperfect—let’s own up to that—but we’re still “set apart” for God. We’re called, not to a miserable, guilt-ridden Lent, but to a Holy Lent. Thanks, Tim Schenck youtu.be/yc4z3Exwrwo

I had a piece published in SEARCH journal recently, on the impact on liturgical formation of the present situation in which fewer people are coming forward for ordination. For those interested in liturgy and theological education, here’s the link: searchjournal.ireland.anglican.org/current-issue
