We just got water in Asheville, 19 days after Hurricane Helene. It’s brown and you can’t drink it yet, but once the impurities are flushed out it will be fine. The city has done an amazing job repairing catastrophic damage. Pipes 30-40 feet underground were destroyed.

Super excited that I get to help Franklin Middle School students do science news for Jazz88 public radio. The kids at this school (including my kid) already do tons of stuff for the station and I can’t wait to teach them some science journalism.

So what has turned out to be hilarious is that this one restroom apparently has a door issue and people KEEP getting stuck in there. Folks across the aisle have taken to yelling helpful instructions to the trapped.
