The central district was known for prosecuting major complex cases against transnational criminal organizations and multi-million dollar fraud schemes…now they’re punching down, going after protestors, and losing.

I am sickened by the reported shooting at ABC news here in Sacramento. The free, unafraid press is a cornerstone of our democracy and ABC10 is a local treasure. I’m relieved that no one was hurt.

Michelle Beckwith is the gold standard. She prosecuted the toughest cases in the Eastern District—from sex trafficking to white collar crime. It was an honor to work with her when I worked for CA DOJ. She served with the utmost integrity, which ultimately got her fired:

Thanks Governor Gavin Newsom for signing AB 316, a simple but powerful guardrail to incentivize safe & responsible development of AI products. We’ve already seen cases where AI coaxed children into self-harm or suicide. This bill will promote safety and ensure accountability.

A deep dive report on the heartbreaking reality of sex trafficking on the Figueroa blade in L.A. We fought to pass AB 379 because of what these victims face, on Figueroa and on street corners throughout the country. nytimes.com/2025/10/26/mag…

When I served as Planned Parenthood CA’s lawyer, no one was a tougher, more constant ally than Congresswoman Pelosi. I’m so grateful to be one of the many public servants she’s inspired with her fearless leadership. We will keep that #BlueWaveRolling Madam Speaker Nancy Pelosi 🫡
