Weekend before went to see a concert at the museum "Poleni", (rootsinternational) featuring Maia & the Big Sky Kato Change Olivia Ambani and Isaac Kimani. Outdoor, intimate, safe in a panorama, a chance to sit with what we've been going through.

This past weekend went to see Wambui K. Collymore's new installation at Tira Studio workshop on ngong rd. It's thinking about grief, the mundane motions it requires of us. It reminds me that it is here and coming, a rite of passage. For me it was recognition, preparation.

I am just here to appreciate how artists are responding to this present time, literally inviting us into their own grief, making space for us to face our own, showing how the moment can have utility. -Not that it must be, but it's comforting to me, this idea that it can be.
