my therapist told me learn to calm your own storm instead of venting to other people it sounds therapeutic to let it all out, but you're reinforcing your negative thoughts. it's no one's job but yours to pull you out of your own problems. journal, meditate, exercise and release.

someone said “nothing gives you a clearer look into someone than how they misinterpret things, every misinterpretation is a confession” and it’s so true because how people misunderstand things can reveal a lot about their perspectives and feelings.

Unfortunately the most vile human beings flourish. Fortunately, it is short lived. The fall is greater than the come up.

It’s the heartwarming little moments, stitched together, that make life worth it. Like just now, my daughter crawled into bed and curled into me. I’m someone’s safe space. That’s everything.

I envy how my husband easily falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow. They will have to put me down like a dog to catch at least 4 hours of sleep

It’s easier to be kind than to be mean. The energy you have to summon from the pits of hell just to be nasty? Draining. It leaves a bitter taste in your mouth and a weight on your conscience.

There is a certain novelty and nuance that must come with leadership and delegation. Interactions must feel like team work not “I signed a contract with the devil” A lot of people in leadership are intoxicated with power and control.
