I've been getting deeper into my bag..I've been doing research on why black folks HAVE to use AI. Its no longer optional, its imperative. And before I start, Gaming is a way to peel back the layers of Artificial Intelligence. It literally opens the door and pathways to technology

If Black and Brown communities don’t take AI seriously, we could fall behind by $43 billion a year. This is a real stat. Generative AI could actually widen the racial wealth gap if we’re not at the table.

Only 2% of AI professionals in the U.S. are Black. That means 98% of the people building the future... don’t look like us and to further go in depth about that, these companies are using OUR data to build their models..

Black workers are 20% more likely than our counterparts to say AI is already affecting their job. But we’re less likely to be offered reskilling. That’s a setup for displacement.

Less than 5% of venture funding in AI goes to Black or Latinx founders. We’re not just missing opportunities, we’re being locked out of ownership. Its CRITICAL for us to own our data and create the models for training

By 2030, AI is expected to impact up to 45% of tasks in fields where Black and Brown workers are overrepresented which includes retail, food service, and administrative support.

Now don't get it twisted, I want everyone to use AI in order to make their lives better or work more purposeful, however, I'm going to advocate for folks who look like me because I know how critical this is amongst other things that are critical to us.
