Our paper (Zubair Shafiq Muhammad Ali Gulzar ) on `Blocking JavaScript without Breaking the Web` has been conditionally accepted to PETS 2023🎉. Our work shows that blocking a subset of JS methods instead of scripts reduces major website breakage by 3.7×. More details soon.

Tracking down bugs in #federatedlearning is challenging as you have to get right both a distributed system and machine learning optimization. FedDebug offers much needed support to this circumstance. Currently being ported to Flower thanks to Waris Gill. arxiv.org/abs/2301.03553

Off to Lausanne, Switzerland to present our (Zubair Shafiq, Muhammad Ali Gulzar) findings on different JavaScript blocking configurations for less tracking and website breakage at PETS' 23. If you're in the dynamic JS analysis field, let's chat!

Today, I presented our (Zubair Shafiq Muhammad Ali Gulzar) research at Google, emphasizing the need to block tracking JS functions due to mixed scripts(tracking + benign code). Discussed its benefits for their privacy initiatives, 'privacy-budget', and reducing fingerprinting on web.
