Today I’m heading back to a school I’ve been working with over the past two weeks to see what impact the training has had. I’m looking for use of scripts, relationships and language when working with students to help them regulate themselves.

Shaming can lead to a fight or flight response in the classroom. Shaming can lead to fame, it doesn't end well. Let's stop shaming our children!

Co-regulation is so important in helping students to understand their feelings and the impact these feelings have on their behaviour, this requires teachers and other adults at school to be emotionally aware of themselves as well as their students. Give me a shout if I can help!

Back to school tomorrow! Who was important in your life when you were a child? I am still in touch with the teacher who changed my life. #forevergrateful

The most amazing day with Activate Learning Education Trust (ALET) giving a keynote speech on our WHY, and a session with teachers about Professional relationships and the power of curiosity. Wicked and inspiring to be with such a progressive Trust.

With children’s behaviour let us remember to ask not “what is wrong with you?” but the far more powerful “what has happened to you?” When we understand the why it is far easier to provide the what! Contact me if I can help #mweducation

I was delighted to speak at the Bath & Wells Multi Academy Trust SENCO network event today. Talked all things behaviour, connection, curiosity, empathy, consistency and policy. A great afternoon. I love working with this Trust who always have children at the heart of everything they do.
