We had a very productive Friday in Lilongwe, where we discussed the need to make Malawi's social protection systems more gender-responsive and age-inclusive. Several stakeholders including representatives from older people's associations joined us during the conversations.

With support from the HelpAge International on Friday, we had an engagement meeting with key stakeholders, including policymakers, NGOs, and older persons' associations to advocate for gender-responsive and age inclusive social protection in Malawi.

On Thursday we briefed Machinga District Council on our new project which focuses on procuring goats for 500 older persons in Nsanama. The primary objective of the Goat-pass-on project is to alleviate poverty and enhance the living conditions of older persons.
