Mansfield ISD’s Business and Finance Department was recognized at the board meeting for earning several honors throughout the year. Incredible work by Michele Trongaard and her amazing team!

At the board meeting, we recognized Chloe Mitchell from Timberview High School and Katia Mijangos from Danny Jones Middle School. They were selected to perform in the Honor Choir at the 2025 ACDA National Conference in Dallas. More than five thousand students auditioned.

Several students from across the district who qualified for the state VASE competition were recognized at the school board meeting. The High School Visual Arts Scholastic Event, VASE, is a competition to recognize exemplary student achievement in the Visual Arts. competition.

We celebrated Charlene McKinzey and Jerry Knight as they were named ITEEA STEM Schools of Excellence. Both STEM Academies joined the international community of thirty-four other schools from around the world.

We celebrated Jandrucko Early Learners Academy as they were named the winner of the 2025 H-E-B Excellence in Education Award for Early Childhood Facility! Jandrucko Early Learners Academy earned this prestigious honor as well as a $25,000 check to support its educational program!

We celebrated Timberview HS 4x100-meter relay team. Brandon Gilmore, Tyler Madison, Harvey Scott, and Koby Smith made history with their run at the UIL 5A State Championship by clocking the 4th fastest in TX 5A history and being the top 10 fastest HS relay times in US history.

We celebrated Jerry Knight STEM Academy student Shayaan Yousef. Shayaan placed first in the Junior Mathematics Division at the Texas Science and Engineering Fair at Texas A&M University and third prize in the Middle School division of the C-Span StudentCam Competition.
