âšin fun job newsâš After a fantastic year at NPR working on School Colors from NPR's Code Switch, Weekend All Things Considered and Weekend Edition, Iâm looking for my next opportunity! My dms are open for any leads on remote or New York-based audio production roles đ» Thanks all â€ïžâđ»

Since getting hired to host NPR's Short Wave w/ inimitable Emily Kwong, I've felt like I'm living in a dream. Who gets to work w/an amazing team to interview brilliant scientists & chase curiosity every frickin' day?? But all dreams end. Half our team was laid off, incl myself.

Iâm afraid I am one of the casualties. Working w/the team NPR's Short Wave for the past year has been a beautiful dream, and unfortunately now itâs time to wake up. Please do send me your job listings/freelance opportunities. And you should keep listening to the show; I sure will.

After ~6.5 years @npr, I was âimpactedâ by the #NPRLayOffs. Iâve cycled through sadness, frustration, embarrassment, shame, & even relief & joy. But above all grateful for the paths Iâve crossed. Never would 10-year-old gay, Viet American me imagine this adventure Iâve been on.
