Marin County Fire will begin pile burning in the area of Fairfax - Woodacre, weather permitting, the week of February 10. Smoke expected between 10 AM and 4 PM. Please avoid calling 9-1-1 to report smoke from this prescribed burn to keep emergency lines open for urgent calls.

TODAY, June 12 is the last day of our Prescribed Burn along Hwy 101 in San Rafael. We ask the community to refrain from calling 9-1-1 to report smoke from the burn area.

Our Fire Crew remains on scene at the 1/3-acre fire off Lucas Valley Road, working to construct a control line due to the heavy fuel load in the area. The small grass fire is fully contained. There is no threat to structures or the public.

At 11:50pm July 5, a vegetation fire was reported near N San Pedro Road & Miwok Fire Road in China Camp State Park. First responders quickly arrived & determined no structures were threatened. By 12:15am forward progress was stopped. Agencies: San Rafael Fire & Marin County Fire
