A threat to all scientists in Germany, particularly to postdocs: On 17 March the German Ministry of Science released a paper on the planned amendment of the German Act on Temporary Scientific Contracts. Contracts for postdocs shall be limited to 3 years - then you are out!.....

this would be a complete disaster for German science.

Better late they never: Apparently they listened and the #WissZeitVG with its new „3 year postdoc rule“ is going back to the drawing board. let’s hope it will actually be improved and lead to better perspectives for researchers!
