Hi all, can I get something off my chest? THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS MY TRUTH! There is only THE TRUTH (factually correct & supported by evidence) just because you feel or think something doesn't make it true. I hate all this modern therapy speak B/S. 🙄

Politicians and activists won’t be happy until we can only travel at their say-so, spend at their say-so and speak at their say-so.

We are now so far beyond the point of blind mechanistic belief in magic numbers in road safety that there’s no point in even engaging anymore.

Heidi Alexander MP Q. When did government ever make anything better? A. Never. The lesson here is that if you want to fix the UK, interfere less, not more.

Doing a bit of work at my desk and enjoying the tour guides’ spiels. One in particular made me smile. Apparently, before Downton, the whole area around the church was derelict. I know our chimney was a bit suss, and I need to sort the windows, but ‘derelict’ is a bit harsh.

20's Plenty for Us It’s time for silly posts about ‘spaces between buildings’ and graphics of blood to end and a sensible balanced discussion about the benefits to humans of rapid transport v the dangers, to be had.

Councils - as well as activist councillors and their sockpuppet pressure group pals - are completely out of control. They need their powers reined in significantly.

Authoritarian over reach by the council has allowed them to force in traffic restrictions even when they aren't wanted. The beginning of it was the closure of Walton St - imposed on us for nearly two years even when the negative impacts were pointed out. thecritic.co.uk/we-have-to-rei

Oxford can top this: the council wants to introduce a zero emmision zone - ÂŁ4 per day minimum charge for most non-electric vehicles. Awkwardly, the air is so clean that it not only meet legal targets, but also a self-imposed stretch target and is close to the WHO gold standard.
