A year ago, the residents of #Grenfell Tower experienced an unprecedented tragedy. Our thoughts are with the 71 people who died, their families, the survivors, and our colleagues in London Fire Brigade. As a mark of respect, we will only post critical information for the next 24 hours.

22:45 - Crews from Market Rasen Fire Station & Caistor fire station attended a large quantity of waste wood on fire on Pelham Road, Claxby. Crew used 2 hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

12:10 - Market Rasen and Caistor fire station attended a domestic garden fire on Church Street in Middle Rasen. Severe damage by fire to 1 wooden domestic shed, 5m of wooden fencing and small quantity of trees. Extinguished using 2 hose reels. Caused by embers from a controlled fire.

We currently have 4 appliances attending a fire at a disused airfield in Binbrook. Crews from Binbrook, Market Rasen Fire Station, Louth Fire Station & assistance from Humberside Fire & Rescue Grimsby are using 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets & 1 main jet to extinguish. Updates to follow.

The heat is on 🌞here at training centre but that doesn’t stop our latest on call recruits course 02/18 being put through their paces learning the skills to keep our communities safe. If you would like to join them please call our Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue recruitment line on 08003580204.

All our staff and colleagues at Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service have paid tribute for firefighter Stfan Hawcroft 'The Bravest Man'. Our thoughts remain with his family at this time buff.ly/2K0oWCl
