I worked with the Knocklyon Network, to develop a masterplan of their vision for the Dodder Valley Park. ​Today work is on going to finish the Greenway​, ​Brothers Pearse AC,​ soccer & GAA pitches, the skate park is completed, along with wonderful bridges traversing the Dodder

Great to see that South Dublin Co. Co. has adopted many of the suggestions from my proposal for a more community based development of Rathfarnham Castle Stables in their latest proposals. I will continue to work with the local community and SDCC on the outstanding issues.

IRISH TIMBER REDUCES CO2 I legislated for SDCC "Wood First Policy" Have & will continue to advocate for wood friendly fire regulations & embodied Carbon measurement & targets in the next government to reduce CO2 emissions in Ireland. arrow.tudublin.ie/bescharcoth/12/

HELLFIRE CLUB In 2017 I called on SDCC to investigate the alternative location of the Dublin Mountain Gateway Visitor Centre at Orlagh House & park land grounds. I made an ABP submission calling for Universal access & conservations work allowing safe access to this historic site

HOUSING DELIVERY As a TD I have legislated for and delivered Cost-Rental homes, 100% public housing on public land, renters tax relief. Abolished SHD's, Co-living & Build to Rent policies, schemes that served pension funds, not communities.

MAKING HOMES WARMER We are retrofitting 1,000 homes every week, half the funding provides free retrofitting to low income families. €70,000 grants are available to repurpose vacant homes. Solar panels reduce your energy costs, heat water, power your car & reducing CO2 emissions.

RATHFARNHAM CASTLE REDEVELOPMENT I have designed this Masterplan. We want to keep the Sean Keating Garden, while still providing for the cultural and retail needs of the community and meeting its broader needs.
