Been spending a lot of time recently looking at old versions of museum and museum-related websites. Today - this blast from the past (2006) for the Redoubt Fortress at Eastbourne (follow the link to see a neat animated GIF): web.archive.org/web/2006082923…

Great to see cuts to culture being discussed in The Guardian but these averages create a false picture of similarity. As my work w/ Peter Campbell shows, the real story is not about uniform cuts but variation and thus deepening inequalities in service provision. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

Oh dear, they sent JJ out again. Btw, The Guardian it's high time you hired a decent art critic instead of this clown who clearly hates most of the exhibitions he goes to. theguardian.com/artanddesign/2…

Found on an allotment in north London - a cap badge of the Royal Sussex Regiment, which was absorbed into the Queen’s Regiment in 1966.

A military invasion in Rafah would be CATASTROPHIC. Almost 1.3 million people, including at least half a million children, are now crammed into this small city in #Gaza. There can be no more "evacuations". There is no safe place to go. There must be a #CeasefireNOW🚨

A good explainer of where we are in the English Higher Education sector now, and how we got here - a useful read for anyone outside the world of universities. theguardian.com/politics/ng-in…
