Fortunate AAP is at every post-match presser, even low-key late Sunday games. Shayne Hope 📰 one of only two reporters at this match, ensuring everyone else has content for days

The timing of this! Took my Liv (almost 12yo) to her uniform fitting for 1st rep netty yesterday over here in Joburg. Liv: “A dress?! I don’t want to wear a dress! Why can’t I wear what I normally wear (shorts and t-shirt)?” I didn’t have an answer. 100% support the change

Players, the AFLPA and fans disappointed by some key elements of this year’s fixture. It’s undoubtedly better than last year’s but I do think a lot of good will from fans and players has now been spent and they just want a fixture that’s accessible and will help the comp grow.

Wayne Milera was right to have to apologize for his unbecoming remarks, the AFL industry cannot be promoting such comments In unrelated news the AFL has now inked in Sydney v Adelaide in an Opening Round grudge match for 2026 that will be marketed for 3 months as the Rabble Cup

Mother of the child: "It’s hard to express how horrific it is to read hateful articles about your child and have them used as clickbait for a political agenda" "The media reported incorrect and exaggerated claims about my child... It was another girl who broke seven records"

"The very premise of this story and all its subsequent outrage was wrong". This is a prime example of how a topic that needs to be tackled with a wealth of compassion, understanding and nuance is often jumped often hastily, as Media Watch say, to voice outage and get clicks.
