Now that's pretty cool... big dust devil seen whirling and swirling across Mars by the @Perseverance rover a few days ago... Image Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/S Atkinson

Another gorgeous new view of Mars, looking down from the slopes of Mt Sharp in the centre of Gale Crater, sent back by Curiosity Rover Credits: NASA/JPL-Caltech/S Atkinson

Every now and again some images come back from a Mars rover that make me sit back and think "Wow... just look at that..." NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover has just sent back some of those from high up on the rim of Jezero Crater. What a gorgeous view! Images Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/S Atkinson

I love how, as Curiosity Rover climbs higher up Mt Sharp, she can see more and more of the floor of Gale Crater far below... Credits: NASA/JPL-Caltech/S Atkinson

New views sent back by Curiosity. Unfortunately the camera used has quite pronounced vignetting issues, probably due to dust, which I haven't got the software/processing skills/time to remove. Others will do much better, I'm sure! Image(s): NASA/JPL-Caltech/MSSS/fredk/S Atkinson

...there it is again, proof that the most efficient way of finding a slimy cat hairball the size of a Chernobyl slug you didn't hear coming out is to walk around in bare feet. Thanks Jess.

It's been a long time since I've actually felt impatient to get back to reading a book while I've been doing other things, but "The Human Son" by Adrian J Walker is such a book. It's genuinely wonderful.

Oh, I **love** this new view sent back by NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover! The rover has now driven down from the rim of Jezero Crater and is exploring the ancient landscape around it. Just look at those wheel tracks coming down from the rim! Beautiful! Image Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/S Atkinson

...meanwhile, on Mars, a nuclear-powered robot geologist pauses in its ascent of an ancient mountain to take a photo of its own shadow, cast on the cinnamon-hued sands by the low Sun... Curiosity Rover Images Credits: NASA/JPL-Caltech/S Atkinson
