Sentenced at 17 to life without parole, Henry Montgomery, now 75, will again appear before the Louisiana Board of Pardons and Committee on Parole on Wednesday, November 17 to be considered for release. His case was central to the SCOTUS decision on juveniles sentenced to LWOP.

So many years in prison - to what end? For what purpose? Welcome home Henry. Wishing you love and peace. The fight for justice - for all - continues.

There are two systems of “justice” in this country. Black and Brown children experience nothing like the version Kyle Rittenhouse experienced today. Rittenhouse escaped accountability when every day Black youth are criminalized simply for being Black.

None of us should accept vigilante violence. None of us should feel justice was done.
