The single-molecule #FRETcommunity seems to love international benchmark studies... so here is the newest one! We tested the reproducibility of smFRET experiments on highly dynamic protein systems. Spoiler: It still works remarkably well! nature.com/articles/s4159… Nature Methods

Very proud of our latest TiBS review with Ulrich Hammes and David Stokes about PINs and auxin.🌱 😁 We compare PIN8, PIN1 and PIN3 structures and find interesting previously undescribed common features and some fascinating differences. Beautiful figures by Kien Lam Ung as always🤩

Using HS-AFM dynamic imaging we discovered among canonical tetrameric TRPV3 channel a small population of channels with non canonical pentameric assembly. The pentamers have an estimated lifetime of only ~3 minutes.
