Water companies have to have temporary use bans (TUBs - hosepipe) in place before applying for drought orders + the DO process can take a while. Leaving TUBs til reservoirs are near 50% isn't great though. Go earlier to⬇️chance of having to hammer rivers! bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
