Busy few days in Japan as part of my trade mission, promoting Irish agrifood and deepening diplomatic ties. Met my counter part, Japan’s agriculture Minister 小泉進次郎 and Health Minister Niki Hirobumi. Also welcomed 3 top Japanese chefs to the Int’l Irish Beef Chefs club🇯🇵🇮🇪

Both reflected on the need for coordinated global action to ensure food security and the transformation towards sustainable agrifood systems.
