We’re thinking about commonalities + separations. Do we have a common tongue, common nature, common culture and in what’s way do we differ? What can we learn from that to feed our work with communities? Give us a follow…WWDN’s new to Twitter + looking for friends/collaborators

Lots of retweets from me this week as I take over the WWDN Twitter to share our (Martin J O'Neill) adventures in Norway! Amazing (though not surprising) the similarities in values and principles of working even amidst quite differing contexts #CommunitySpacesAreVital

It’s not much now but for years I’ve lived surrounded by all the mad little creative pursuits of my life. Eating dinner at the kitchen table surrounded by a detritus of scribbles. Fair to say it cluttered my head. So I cleared out the spare room and now I have SPACE!

The fabulous Martin J O'Neill talking about a focus on frameworks for community-led culture, less traditional forms of participation, the idea that in order to realise the ambitions of a place, the root of that needs to be in creativity - more broadly how people live in a place.

An interesting opportunity to work at the Mountainhall site near the old hospital, Dumfries, to reimagine this space with local communities into a place of biodiversity and sustainable activity. Part of WWDN's SPARKS Programme, funded by Esmée Fairbairn whatwedonow.scot/mountainhall-g…

Still buzzing from last night’s launch of the ‘Creative Placemaking Framework’ at Scottish Parliament, led by The Stove Network. Amazing to connect with inspiring folks from Scotland and Ireland. Big shoutout to my incredible comrades Katharine Wheeler and Matt Baker—an inspiration to me everyday.
