A little over 100 days ago, I was elected on a platform of delivering for local people. Today, I am delighted to secure a new agreement with Sizewell C, which guarantees 500 jobs and significant new opportunities and investment for Ipswich. Here's what it means for our town:
Out in Whitton today, canvassing with Ipswich Labour π¬π§πΉ , not all residents happy but many comment "you are the only Party, we ever see on the doorstep "
Rain and wind does not stop Ipswich Labour π¬π§πΉ talking to residents, out by the waterfront this morning l
Strong Ipswich Labour π¬π§πΉ team out with Jack Abbott MP in South west Ipswich this morning, residents happy about extra funding for potholes, but not confident Tory run Suffolk CC will spend it in Ipswich
Another fantastic Ipswich Labour π¬π§πΉ team today, out in force to support our candidate Adele Cook for the St John's by-election. Thank you to all the residents who took the time to speak to us this morning.
Big Ipswich news to start the day! Ed Sheeran HQ is playing three back-to-back homecoming gigs at Ipswich Town / Portman Road! This will be a massive weekend for our town! Tickets go on sale at 10am on 9 May.
After talking to residents in Bridge last weekend, our Ipswich Labour π¬π§πΉ team moved 'next door' to Stoke Park today. Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak to us. We had some really important conversations and it is exactly why we are out talking to people all year round.
A good Ipswich Labour π¬π§πΉ team out talking to residents in Rushmere this morning. Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak to us.
We had a lovely lunch at the new Jamaica Blue, which opened yesterday. It was brilliant to see it so busy, with the iconic Grimwades building brought back to life after a decade lying empty. Greenshoots are really coming through in our town centre now - great work IpswichGov!
Our Ipswich Labour π¬π§πΉ team beat the showers this morning. We were out talking to residents in Holywells, and we covered a lot of ground and a lot of subjects! Social care, children's services, the town centre, and the need for a Northern Bypass all came up in conversation!
