RWC 2025 in Sofia is going to be 🔥 I'm excited to be the co-chair (along with Martin R. Albrecht) of the program committee this year. We have an amazing group of reviewers this year, and we're looking forward to reading the strongest batch of talk submissions yet.

🚨 introducing LeOPaRd: more efficient #quantum-safe Oblivious PRF 🚨 - round-optimal, supports verifiability and partial obliviousness - relies on a new interactive lattice problem, called iMLWER-RU Full paper: eprint.iacr.org/2024/1615.pdf Joint w/ R. Steinfeld, Erkan Tairi, J. Xu

Spec-o-Scope: Cache Probing at Cache Speed - Exploiting microarchitectural weird gates for cache attacks with measurement time of only 5 cycles! Congratulations to my student Gal Horowitz for this great work and a distinguish paper award at ACM CCS 2024! Joint work with Yuval Yarom.

Big announcement: The next edition of The Joy of Cryptography will be published by The MIT Press @mitpress.bsky.social!

The deadline for getting talk proposals in for Real World Crypto 2025 is about two weeks away... rwc.iacr.org/2025/contribut… Talk proposals are short, so there is no excuse in not putting in a bid to talk about your fave applied crypto thing from the last year.

Reminder, you must register your Real World Crypto 2025 submission by Friday AoE to have it considered, but you can finalise it until Monday (not AoE!), see submit.iacr.org/rwc2025/deadli… We hear there's a competing S&P deadline and we're nice like that. Real World Crypto Nick Sullivan
