Go Laura Monclús! #PlastChem

The latest episode of the Plastisphere has just dropped, and the topic is (drumroll) … #subsidies ! Hosted and produced by the brilliant Anja Krieger, it’s an interview with Andres Naranjo , Dr. Alexandra Harrington and yours truly. Just in time for #INC4 ! podcasts.apple.com/fr/podcast/pla…

State of science on chemicals in plastics: our new PlastChem report, eloquently presented by Laura Monclús. See more posters this week #SETACSeville and visit plastchem-project.org to read it all! 😀 SETAC Food Packaging Forum Hans Peter Arp Zhanyun Wang Jane Muncke Mⓐrtin Wⓐgner

Our very own Laura Monclús presenting our work on the state of the science of plastic chemicals at #SETACSeville. Read the full report and access the database here: plastchem-project.org

Come listen to Christoph Schür's talk on our #multigenerational #microplastics exposure study in #daphnia and links with the #microbiome! Some very exciting work that discusses MP-specific vs particle effects on host-associated microbiomes. Tuesday, Auditorium 1 @ 3 pm! #SETACSeville

One more #PlastChem poster, featuring our awesome evidence map on toxicity of plastics leachates (lots of hard work in there!), is on display today #SETACSeville, poster area 1, 268. See also plastchem-project.org Mⓐrtin Wⓐgner Hans Peter Arp Jane Muncke Zhanyun Wang Utox_Eawag

These create an atmosphere of distrust, which the private sector should work hard to rebuild.

Thanks for inviting me to speak to these important matters, including manufacturing doubt on science and conflicts of interests. Big shout out to the organizers, and to IPCP - International Panel on Chemical Pollution and Scientists' Coalition for Effective PlasticsTreaty as frontrunners in the debate!
