This Sunday is Homecoming Day at Penn's Store in Gravel Switch, Kentucky. It's been in operation since at least 1845. Music on the porch, arts and crafts, food, and readings by Kentucky authors. I'll discuss my "Spirit of the Bluegrass" book around 1:40 p.m. Y'all come!

The NWS has confirmed that: "The track for the tornado in Russell, Pulaski, and Laurel was 55.6 miles long. The maximum width was 1700 yards (almost 1 mile) and the maximum wind was EF4 170 mph."

Tonight on FOX 56 News at Ten: -- Holding tight: how a London couple was nearly torn apart by a tornado, yet couldn't be separated. --911 calls describe the twister as it happened. -- Meet the woman who came to Nicholasville to paint the town in the "Spirit of the Bluegrass."

After further surveys, the National Weather Service has added five miles to the path of last Friday's tornado, meaning it was on the ground for nearly 60 miles.
