Erie County counted nearly 300,000 ballots by this afternoon. Some polls, like one location in Elmwood Village had people lining out the doors throughout the day. Others closer to the #downtownbuffalo area had only a few people cast their vote. #Buffalo #ElectionDay

seen a lot of people go crazy in the pursuit of wanting to be accepted by journalism cliques and supposed cool kid crowds. it's all superficial bullshit. you're better off getting validation from your postman or the man who comes and takes your bins, seriously

This year was one of the hardest ones in recent memory. It took a toll on me mentally and physically. I didn’t feel like celebrating the holidays this year. Just a reminder it’s ok to want to move on. And you don’t anyone the feeling of being happy or joyous. Happy New Year.

Looking for something to explore during graduation week? Visit the Cronkite Gallery to view an exhibit of student photojournalism from last summer’s study abroad in Rwanda. The work captures stories of daily life and connection, told through a global lens.

This is the thing. If you take an adversarial stance towards the government (as journalists frequently should) you will lose β€œaccess” to routine, daily updates/news, easy stories, etc. I could care less if the government likes me or feeds me info. I have other sources.
