Where do decisions get made? Decisions about sensory information are thought to arise high in the cortical processing hierarchy. Our Nature Neuroscience study challenges this, showing that decision signals consequential for behaviour are found at the earliest cortical processing stages.


Thrilled to share my PhD work, out in @nature today. Mehmet Fisek & I developed an all-optical approach to study long-range connectivity across brain areas. Upshot: visual feedback is spatially organized & nonlinearly integrated in V1 apical dendrites. nature.com/articles/s4158…
