Super happy to share our new work in Brain by @RoemerSeb and MatthiasBrendel: in 4R tauopathy patients, we show that subcortical tau deposition is linked to hypoperfusion in connected cortical regions, suggesting a diaschisis-like disconnection mechanism. doi.org/10.1093/brain/…

Looking up all ~550 cases that we saw over ~10 years in our memory clinics, with both CSF and Aβ-PET obtained in clinical routine was a huge team effort, co-coordinated by MatthiasBrendel, @GunterHoglinger and colleagues from the University of Vienna and many others! Thanks to all!
