And many, many hours later, the winner of the Canadian GP is.... unchanged. Red Bull's protest was rejected, so Russell remains the race winner after a very, very long wait... #F1

This is an excellent explanation as to how and why the Canadian GP result took so long. It's not a knee jerk opinion (as some have written), it's a considered and informed run down of the process as it is, and it's weaknesses. Excellent journalism. #F1 planetf1.com/features/red-b…

Canada to remain on the F1 calendar until 2035. Good news, great event that has a habit of producing exciting racing. #F1

It was put to me that with the Canadian GP extension was the event swapping to a rotational event, hosting races in '29, '31, '33, and '35. Have confirmed with FOM that is *not* the case and it will run every year until 2035. #F1

This is what the Thailand F1 track will look like, based on details available so far. Please excuse the poor Photoshop job! The circuit is about 5.7km in length, pit complex at the top of this map, going anti-clockwise. #F1 #Thailand

Liberty Media's $4.8bn acquisition of MotoGP has received unconditional approval by the European Commission. Liberty will own F1 and MotoGP. There were antitrust concerns that have clearly been satisfied. Massive news for global motorsport. #F1 #MotoGP

A bridge hit by a recovery truck after the F2 race in Austria brought down an advertising bridge. No other damage, the FIA has confirmed to me. #F1

Fabulous start to the Austrian GP. Kudos to McLaren for letting its drivers race. It's a bold, brave, and every F1 fan can (and should) be thankful. Zak Brown told me: "Our drivers aren’t asking for favouritism, they’re asking for fairness... May the best man win." #F1

Fred Vasseur is now the second-longest serving team principal after Toto Wolff. Wolff took charge of Mercedes in January 2013. Vasseur took over at Ferrari in December 2022, around the same time Andrea Stella did for McLaren. #F1

Documents filed in Austria show there was an ownership change at the very top of Red Bull in the weeks prior to Christian Horner's axing. Could that have been a contributing factor in his demise? planetf1.com/news/red-bull-…

A potential £50 million pay out for Christian Horner. Company records suggest he was on approximately £9million/year. With his contract set to run until 2030, that could result in a very healthy settlement. #F1
