After only bad experiences with Fiverr, I have to say I'm impressed by Upwork 's ability to thoroughly underperform even worse. My contractor just .. disappeared? Am I getting a full refund? What the heck happened? There's no functioning support and I'm down $100 in fees??

Damn, @upwork has literally monetized disputes in their system. I'm not sure this is the right incentivization for a platform... It does explain why a seemingly simple contract went to a dispute almost instantly, though.
