Had my final FGB and strategy day as Chair of Governors today. Felt strange not putting dates in my diary for next year. It’s been a rollercoaster but I’m leaving full of pride. Governance isn’t always easy but it’s worth it. Westmeads Community Infant School will always have a bit of my heart.

This all feels lovely. Sat in the garden, watching Wimbledon, bbq on and rosé flowing. Will probably regret it tomorrow morning but sod it.

What a day! Left Northumberland at 6:30am, final session of training with some trainee coaches near York and then a drive to Kent! Shattered but had a great time with the coaches. Definitely a food delivery this evening.

I have received the good news, that from November, the OFQUAL regulated Youth Mental Health Course, will be funded and completely free for schools who choose to join the live online session with their students. The content and instructor will be funded and there is no limit on

This came up in Facebook from 18 years ago. I did a fisherman project with my year 5 class for the Whitstable Oyster Festival. A lovely arts project. However, was the work summer do the night before and I was hanging!! Think I’d got only a couple of hours sleep!

I’m definitely extra aka middle aged. Went to a beach bbq lunch today. I had a frozen wine sleeve for my rosé and metal insulated stem free wine glass. Was glad of my commitment! However, I usually put ice in my rosé at home so am now a bit squiffy. 😂😂🙌🙌

💔 2 cases of suicide, 1 of a 15yr old the other of a 13yr old - both boys. I can't post the links to the news reports, it feels wrong 😔 But saying nothing & scrolling by is something I'm not capable of. My heart aches for them & their parents 💔 🙏 Rest in eternal peace 🙏

A funny little starter for the first day of the holidays. Breaded babybel cheeses with chilli, balsamic and muscovado onions.

Our house sale is progressing and so we have tentatively started packing and sorting. We’ve been here 20 years so there’s a lot. We have to be fairly ruthless but some things really do carry memories but are useless to others. Will be donating things to charity but it’s hard!

Bit of baking for dinner. Do love a quiche!

The house selling prep continues. Today we had the cooker professionally cleaned. Definitely another “we should have bloody done this years ago” moment! Would definitely recommend having it done, it’s off the scale middle aged joy!
