Out today 👉 Mycobacterium abscessus pathogenesis identified by phenogenomic analyses by @luc_boeck Floto Group et al. nature.com/articles/s4156…

Thrilled to share our last story on the efficacy of a direct InhA inhibitor against M. abscessus in macrophages and CF-derived airway organoids. Mastered by Matthéo Alcaraz. Great collaboration with Céline Cougoule and Thomas Edwards. Thanks to Vaincre la Muco #SAM2025 and ANR - Agence nationale de la recherche

Very excited to share our story on the role of B cells in chronic tuberculosis doi.org/10.1172/JCI157…. Amazing team effort led by PhD student Lina Daniel! Lina Daniel Sydney ID Sydney Health Charles Perkins Centre Centenary Institute Journal of Clinical Investigation

Congrats Anneliese Ashhurst and all other authors! Thrilled to have been a part of this study and to see this come out! Nature Communications

Stoked to share our latest work - pulmonary vaccine delivery is an effective strategy to generate immune memory at the site of infection, the lungs! Thank you Claudio Anneliese Ashhurst Matt Johansen @TricckyLab + co-authors Sydney ID Centenary Institute nature.com/articles/s4138…

Delighted to share that our team has received funding from NSW Health to develop ‘NoV for CoV’, a nose-only (nasal spray) subunit vaccine to prevent COVID-19 👃🦠 A busy and exciting year of work ahead Warwick Britton Payne Research Group

Our detailed characterization of nirmatrelvir (paxlovid) resistance is published in #ScienceAdvances! Congrats Yuyong Zhou, @KarenGammeltoft, other #CO-HEP authors and collaborators from #GuentherPetersLab at #DTU! science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Finally out! In vitro and in vivo efficacy of NITD-916 against Mycobacterium fortuitum. Conducted by F Roquet-Baneres, Matthéo Alcaraz, HAMELA Claire. Great collaboration with Thomas Edwards journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/aa…

Buzzing to share my PhD work out now in Nature Communications. We've found a procoagulant type I interferon-tissue factor axis in macrophages, and the anti-inflammatory drugs DMF (clinically approved) and 4-OI are anticoagulants via inhibition of type I IFN-TF! nature.com/articles/s4146…

Thrilled to be part of this fantastic paper out today, highlighting the importance of TBK1 in COVID-19 hyper-inflammation! Great work to all the authors! Centenary Institute UTS Science Nature Communications

💥ONLINE NOW! Together with @nthn_dy and Pierre SANTUCCI we discuss novel concepts Trends in Microbiology on how antibiotic efficacy can change if the bacteria is within host cells: Host cell environments and antibiotic efficacy in tuberculosis cell.com/trends/microbi…

Happy to announce that I’ve been awarded the UTS Chancellor’s Research Fellowship (CRF) for 2024! This will support my research into understanding the host-pathogen interface of Mycobacterium abscessus infection in cystic fibrosis UTS Science
