Penn State center Gracie Merkle announced her transfer to Maryland on her Instagram. Merkle averaged 15.5 points and 8.6 rebounds last season for the Nittany Lions. She scored 24 against Maryland in January.

Maryland’s Shyanne Sellers selected No. 17 overall by the Golden State Valkyries in the WNBA Draft. Sellers — who finished 12th on Maryland’s all-time scoring list & 3rd in assists — is the 17th Terp drafted under Brenda Frese. She averaged 14.4 pts, 4.1 ast, 3.8 reb in 2024-25.

Brenda Frese announced the addition of guard Lea Bartelme to next season's roster on Wednesday. Bartelme played for Slovenian team Cinkarna Celje from 2019-2025. She averaged 12.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 6.8 assists last season with Cinkarna Celje.
