Took my 11 year old on a journey today, revisiting the places that were pivotal to me in relationship to God. Here's 3 things I noticed... - Beauty of wild flatlands in Indiana. - How much conversation we have if we turn off the music and audiobooks. - Road trips are a blast!

3 animals that have surprised me in my yard today... 1. Rabbit 2. House Finch 3. Daddy Longlegs Now I think I have to try to write a poem about how they all snuck up on me, burrowed in the grass or in the pines.

3 highlights from a “Dad Day” with my two youngest sons… 1. Quality conversation at the Antique Mall 2. Delicious Amish pretzels 3. Guatemalan blend from my favorite coffee place Blessed to spend a day with these two!

As it is Father's Day again, here's a poem I wrote 5 years ago, with reflections from Yellowstone. It was originally published in The Windhover! Thanks to the editors there! #poetry

Back from Yosemite. 3 poems I need to write: 1. The switchbacks below Nevada Falls hang in tumbling snowmelt 2. The first man to climb Half Dome coating his bare feet with pine tar and driving in the iron spikes he climbed on 3. How quickly beauty can be taken for granted

I've been writing poems from the perspectives of Biblical figures in the days and moments before they meet Jesus. Here's one recently published in Ekstasis Magazine that contemplates Jesus's disciple James before he is called. Thanks to Ekstasis! ekstasismagazine.com/poetry/2024/i-…

Yesterday, I mentioned writing poems of Biblical figures before they met Jesus. Here's a poem (and podcast about that poem!) that celebrates the other side, after meeting Jesus. Hope you enjoy! Thanks to The Reformed Journal - reformedjournal.com/the-woman-at-t…
